The Gravity Harvester is the first design submitted to the United States Patent Office which uses helium and gravity to turn an electric generator without expending fuel.
The US Patent Office has received many designs that were attempts to provide continuous movement without expending fuel. However, all of those past designs failed, mostly because gravity eventually pulled them to a stop.
The Gravity Harvester is different than those past designs. The GH relies on gravity and also helium. Helium is the deciding force within the GH, because the Helium lifts, instead of pulling down the parts as gravity does. It is the first design to receive a provisional patent which uses helium to generate electricity without expending fuel.
A non-provisional patent is currently being examined by the U.S. Patent Office.

I hope I can briefly explain the process like this. — If a round weight is placed inside a basket and then dropped, they will fall to the ground. If a generator is fixed above them, and connected with a cable and pulley, the round weight and basket can turn the electric generator as it falls. Now imagine someone physically lifting the round weight to the top, placing it in the basket and dropping it again and again and again, turning the generator. The helium balloon lifts the round weight to the top, to be dropped again and again.
Essentially, the helium provides the lift, and the gravity provides the force to turn the generator.
After the helium lifts the round weight to the top of the shaft, the helium stops providing force and gravity takes over, and becomes the driving force, and vice versa.
When gravity doesn't move the parts , the helium does.
